A little bit about my music background…
I began playing violin at the age of 10 and continued with rigorous study through my middle and secondary school years. In 2008, I began my undergraduate career at Butler University as a violin performance major with a scholarship to the school of music. While my personal and professional goals ultimately shifted to writing, violin and music continue to be important and meaningful aspects of my adult life.
Whether I’m playing classical standards at weddings, improvising with friends in garage bands, or arranging a pop cover for an open mic, I still love performing and the connective power of music. Recently, I joined the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s young professionals group, Forte, and am looking forward to finding more ways to get involved and elevate the Indianapolis community through music.
